OBE Training for Newly Hired Faculty and TVFs at JSPPL

Dr. Ume Habiba, Assistant Professor at Pakistan Studies Department, General Education, conducted a capacity building session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) for newly hired faculty members and Visiting/Temporary Visiting Faculty (TVFs) at the Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership (JSPPL). The session aimed to strengthen faculty understanding of OBE principles and their practical application in course planning and delivery.

The training covered key aspects of learning outcomes, course objectives, teaching and learning strategies, assessment methods, and constructive alignment. Faculty members were guided on designing their courses to ensure that teaching activities and assessments effectively support the intended learning outcomes. The session provided an opportunity for newly inducted faculty and TVFs to enhance their understanding of NUST’s OBE framework and promote a more structured, learner-centered approach to teaching at JSPPL.
